We started agility as Maggie was about 1.5 years old, in October 2004, on recommendation of our vet in order too get rid off some fears she shows when there is thunder or there are fireworks (and there are many, almost on every-day basis here in Mexico which seems unbelievable). With time we fell in love with this team sport. Only after five months of once-a-week training, we took part in our very first competition, which was in February 2005, - and with great success as her first place in Jumpers proofed.

Maggie won, after only nine Saturay competitions and about a year of agility training, her titles "Novicio en Agilidad", "Libre en Agilidad", "Novicio en Saltos con Slalom", "Libre en Saltos con Slalom"and "Excelente en Saltos con Slalom", and an award "Perro del Año".

In addition, she was the best Mexican dog during the Dog World Show 2007 in Mexico, winning most prizes (6 rosettes and 1 cup), although we hadn't practised since a year. We are so proud of her.

We list all her results which appear in her "carnet de trabajo". You will find also videos of Maggie competing, which we recorded during some competitions and offer as a podcast called "Maggie May's agility videos". Be aware that the size of the video files range from 1 to 21 MB and by that takes time till they are loaded.

After the World Dog Show 2007, we haven't taken part in any competition, neither trained Maggie (actually that since ages!). We just did not like the atmosphere in the Mexican agility community; people started to argue and complain. For us, agility has always been a hobby with lots of fun, which we wanted to keep like that. Therefore we decided to quit.

Although we are not into agility any more, we might take part in some competitions in Texas, USA. Actually, in February 2007 we took part in a trial organized by the Bexar Regional Agility Team in San Marcos and we were quite successful (1 qualifier for the USDAA and 2 local qualifiers, one of which was even a 1st place in Snooker, which we have played for the very first time ever). There Maggie became inmediately famous for her howling because of excitement during the runs (as she has already been well know for in Mexico).

Even without agility, Maggie is a very happy dog, and above all, a great member of our family.
