My husband and I could fullfill our
dream to have a beagle on 10th May 2003. Maggie is a 13" beagle with the unusual combination of the colours brown, white,
tan and ticked (bluetick). She had actually green eyes in the beginning,
which turned into a light brown colour. She was also very ill as
we purchased her in the Mexican pet shop called "Maskota";
she coughed and sneezed a lot. However, after she recovered, she
has hardly ever fallen ill again. Maggie is, as what beagles are
famous for, a very healthy dog.
Here you can see Maggie's
pedigree (in purpose it is NOT scanned so that the names
appear in search engines). Please write
me an email if you have information
about Maggie's family. We
would like to know more about our doggy.
Maggie is faithful and extremely patient, particularly with
our 2-year-old daughter Emily. However, when it comes to play,
she just gets crazy. In particular, as Maggie was a puppy, she
was very difficult to handle and to control. Fortunately, she is
a very quick learner, too, whereas the clicker
training method helped us a lot. Now, Maggie is
just easy to be with and very obedient.
She is practically the ideal dog.
However, Maggie has two drawbacks: Firstly, she cannot stay alone.
Therefore she is always with someone. My husband Gabriel takes
her sometimes to his office. Fortunately she is an educated
dog and people just love her. We have never had complaints about
her. Actually the opposite, people ask for her and why she did
not turn up if my husband appears at work without her. Secondly,
Maggie afraid of thunder and fireworks. She starts to tremble and
sometimes cries. As a kind of therapy we had started agility,
on recommendation of our vet, where Maggie had a great career.
We actually offer her agility videos as a podcast
for you.

Since we have travelled once to Texas, US in order
to take part in an agility trial, we were in the need of a health
certificate for our dog ( in
English and in
Spanish) in
order to cross the border. I couldn't find any useful template in the Intenet. So I designed my own ones, which I offer for download
on this page. You can also download Maggie's health
certificates (marked with an M, to find on the left side) so that
you have a look and get an idea of how to fill out the form properly.
By the way, our vet was convinced by the health certificates I
created, and has used them since then.
